Start from the real process requirement
Packaging machines may use vacuum for bag forming, sealing, pick-and-place, degassing or holding. The pump should be selected from the actual vacuum task, not only from the machine size.
Before quotation, prepare chamber volume, required pump-down time, target pressure, operating hours and the product being packed.
Check the pump type and maintenance habit
Oil-sealed rotary vane pumps are common for industrial packaging lines because they offer stable supply, spare parts support and straightforward maintenance.
For dry or oil-free requirements, confirm whether the process allows oil vapor, dust, water vapor or frequent start-stop operation.
Information to send before quotation
Send the old pump model if this is a replacement project. Also include voltage, frequency, quantity, destination country and any space limitation around the machine.
If the pump size is uncertain, use the sizing calculator first and send the result for engineer review.
